Life imitates art far more than art imitates life

'Home is the root of human.' From ancient times to the present, people and ‘home’ have been inextricably linked.
Over a long period of time, the word ‘home’ has long evolved from a shelter to spiritual sustenance.
With more emotions, thinking, and personality, the home is no longer just a house, and its design is no longer limited to its aesthetic, which is the hope of nowadays young generation's.
A balance between artistic beauty and function, and giving it the warmness of life, while has become the goal that every designer hopes to achieve.
Make our home more pleasant
When it comes to minimal space, it is always called a sense of emptiness, indifference, and restraint. In order to break the stereotype, the designer starts from the details, and takes black, white, and gray as the main color, while adding warm-colored woods, which not only retains the concise and ethereal meaning but also reflects real life. Thus, the correct definition for ‘home’ is warm and pleasant.
The designer hopes that the owners will feel the warmth of the space from the moment they step into the house, wash away the tiredness, back to life, just like entering a totally different world.
The architect Tadao Ando once said: ‘Light is always an important element to dramatize space.’ Every type of light has its unique value, such as natural light, navigation light, ambient light, and illumination light.
The natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows flows quietly over time, sliding across the ground, walls, sofas... to form different contrasts of light and dark. It not only improves permeability but also divides the interior space into different levels between movement and stillness.
Infinite possibilities
‘Home’ has nothing to do with its size, but whether it can carry the warmth of a family and tolerate the happiness and sorrows of the family. We live in a limited space but can experience the infinite possibilities of the ideal life.
Combining beauty and practicality, it creates a large and comfortable living space. Function and aesthetics are not in conflict with reality while finding a balance between the two and embedding art into space is a life of aesthetics and a life of art. The aesthetics of art and lifestyle are harmonious and interactive and make the limited space become infinitely. Home is the train that can lead to your ideal life.
The designing of the first floor changed the original trivial parts with the current artistic beauty and functional requirements, and also the layout was reorganized to achieve ‘enormous beauty’.

Lin Shanghuai has experienced the development and changes of China's interior design industry for more than 20 years.
