PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
This is a private residence with a construction area of 150 square meters in Dongcheng District, Beijing. The owner wants to have a sense of luxury and improve the quality of life in the overall style, so the overall style of this plan has chosen Italian light luxury. Build a relaxed and tonal living space using textured materials and natural elements.
The following adjustments have been made in terms of space renovation:
The overall color scheme of the entire case adopts a combination of black, white, gray, and wood grain, with a coffee color tone texture. Natural marble is used as a decoration in some wall. The whole house has no main lighting design, combined with bright gray textured tiles. As the light shines at different times every day, there will be different changes in the feeling of the floodlight passing through the ground. The original layout lacked a foyer and there was no shoe changing and storage area upon entering. Therefore, a new I-shaped wall was built on the wall renovation, with one side serving as a foyer cabinet and the other side near the kitchen serving as a refrigerator cabinet. Due to the external placement of the refrigerator, more usable space can also be released inside the kitchen. More aging friendly designs have been considered in the master bedroom space. Due to the different sleep patterns of the elderly at home, two single beds have been placed to avoid affecting each other's sleep. At the same time, a night light has been left in an appropriate position. The cabinet next to the master bedroom door serves as a secondary wardrobe, and can also accommodate clothes that have been worn 1-2 times but are not very dirty and do not want to be stored with clean clothes. The section where the master bedroom and balcony intersect is not equipped with a full sliding door. Instead, a new section of the wall has been constructed with a translucent glass material and wooden interweaving design, which not only looks beautiful but also avoids direct sunlight in the morning and the problem of cold air in winter. At the same time, the height of the countertop in the bathroom has also been appropriately raised to avoid elderly people bending over while also providing a slight support after using the toilet. The biggest renovation focus of the second bedroom is to separate a dressing room within a 10 square meter room. The dressing room has been semi open to ensure the lighting and transparency of the entire room. A small dressing table has been made inside the dressing room using a semi open low wall to meet daily use. The corridor itself has a relatively slender layout, so the second bathroom has done a dry and wet separation, placed the washbasin outside, removed some of the walls, and widened the visual effect of the corridor. The shared wall part of the study and corridor has a 30cm concave wall. As a display cabinet for the corridor, it not only displays some collectibles but also makes the corridor look less monotonous and secluded.
This case emphasizes the integration of space and materials at the same frequency. The overall space is calm and atmospheric, emphasizing the comfort and coordination of the space. It is light and simple in form, and luxurious in the heart.
