DESCRIPTION
Baotou Rare Earth Museum is located in the Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute, which is the world's largest theme museum showing the comprehensive development history of the rare earth industry.
Rare earth is a group of metallic elements. Due to their special electronic structure, their active chemical properties, and unique optical, magnetic and electrical properties, rare earth is classified as a strategic element by several countries. People have been exploring rare earth since the 18th century. From steam lamp yarn cover and flint to new energy automobile and aerospace technology, rare earth have many successful applications in traditional, strategic emerging and green low-carbon fields.
The exhibition area reveals the scientific research value of rare earth and the strategic prospect full of opportunities to the audience through multiple combinations of flat exhibition walls, objects, models, installations, and projections.
Based on the original open space conditions, the proscenium is reshaped by the digital means of combining the circular giant screen and the dome giant screen, creating a ritual space for the venue and elevating the vision in the realm of reality and imagination. This is also a perfect presentation of the dome curtain in the Silk Road exhibition.
The extreme scale of the cinema hall brings excellent panoramic views, and the space can accommodate more than 100 people at the same time, so you can watch the museum's promotional films "Together to the Future" and "The Future is Here" in an immersive way, and listen to the important discussions of national leaders on the rare earth industry.
Rare earth is an incomparable fulcrum of national policy in China. Several academicians and experts who have made outstanding achievements in rare earth discovery, industrial development, Baotou Baiyun Ebo rare earth resources development and comprehensive utilization are recorded on the wall and shine brightly under the luminous light box.
