DESCRIPTION

The couple in this case are DINK who prefer calm and restrained grey color, they hope that the 200 ㎡ house can be designed just for the two of them. In daily life, they mainly work, do yoga, read books at home, hardly cook and do not receive any guests, which means a traditional "sofa-type" living room is not needed. The male homeowner has a preference for collecting shoes, and the female wants to have a large enough space in the checkroom to display clothes, and has a need for an exclusive collection area and display space.

On the premise of meeting the basic needs, how to create a more flexible space experience?
We used the concept of "flowing space", creating four return lines to connect each functional partition in series, hoping to create an open, free, flow and non closed space experience for them.We use window , soft partitions, sliding doors and other elements to turn the closed wall can be opened or disappeared, Different functional spaces can be connected and permeated with each other, and the closed independent space can become an interconnected whole.

Mies van der Rohe and "flowing space".
Based on the "unconventional" needs of the two owners, we hope to create a life style that can break the traditional private space. In the designing, we should avoid static volume combination. We hope that different space can be opened, the sense of closure of traditional private houses can be breaked。 These spaces are flowing or in process. We do not regard space as a passive and static existence, but as a flowing force.

Space penetration.
1、 Entrance area: we designed a transparent glass in the entrance , so light can penetrate into the kitchen through the glass and avoid being independent of each other.
2, Desk area: between the living room and bedroom,we use curtains (soft partition) to replace the wall, so that the two spaces are not so obvious sense of partition.
3, Cloakroom: cloakroom and desk area storage cabinet wall with a hollow block to increase the interaction between the two areas, to avoid the visual fatigue caused by large wall.
4、 Bathroom: Using hanging doors and barn doors, the master bedroom-bathroom-cloakroom forms a migratory line of three areas, which also ensures privacy.
