This renovation breathes new life into a centuries-old residence, transforming it into a luxurious and refined B&B that seamlessly blends tradition with art.
The design prioritizes preserving the original brick and stone walls along with the timber beams, honoring the residence’s historical essence. It also embraces the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic—a philosophy that finds beauty in imperfection—by incorporating vintage elements like terracotta jars and door panels as decorative pieces. These are thoughtfully combined with modern artistry, creating an atmosphere that feels like a journey through time.
In the common areas, the ancient rammed earth walls have been restored with modern fiber materials while keeping the original stone slabs unchanged. Beneath ancient trees in the front courtyard, traditional stone benches are harmoniously arranged alongside chic outdoor sofas, reflecting the theme of past meeting present. The lobby features a lofty and open design, with raw wood used extensively—from the exposed beams to the furniture. The authentic wooden texture and aesthetic evoke the rustic simplicity of the ancient residence. The centerpiece here is a solid stone fireplace, whose simple and unadorned appearance perfectly complements the rustic wooden elements, fostering a warm and nostalgic ambiance.
Each guest room is thoughtfully tailored to the ancient residence’s unique layout, maintaining its structural integrity while optimizing space efficiency. The wooden beds and the elegant combination of marble and sintered stone in the bathroom enhance the connection between the indoors and the lively garden outside. This creates a luxurious and elegant atmosphere that balances natural allure with refinement. Additionally, the smart control system in each guest room brings modern convenience into the historical environment. Step outside the rooms, guests are surrounded by five hundred years of heritage; step inside, they are immersed in five-star luxury.
Furthermore, copper light fixtures and handles add the finishing touch to the entire space. Their warm tones contrast beautifully with the cool tones of stone slabs, creating a perfect visual harmony that ties the entire design together.
