DESCRIPTION
A legend has been passed on the centuries ago at Dongao Island. During an afternoon nap, a scholar, guarded by an elderly Zen master, dreamt of a tranquil haven. This ancient tale has become the soulful essence of the Ahnluh Resort Hotel, crafted by HUAFA GROUP CO., LTD on Dongao Island.
The Ahnluh Resort Hotel with a paradigm of sustainable luxury design which is beautifully situated across two plots on the picturesque Dongao Island. The first plot, with the site area of 14,364.74 square meters, comprises of 16 buildings in a standalone guest room with a total GFA of 8371.17 sqm. It offers a series of private accommodations to present tranquility and privacy. The third plot covers over 49,243.9 sqm, which serves as the main hotel's public area. Those areas include 9 main hotel buildings with a total GFA of 32,583.66 sqm, and offers facilities such as wedding lawns, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a tea house, and specialty restaurants. The Southeast Asian-style architectural design with the graceful terraces is presented to echo with the natural slopes of the island which offers the guests to enjoy the limitless views of sea and sky.
The project perfectly embodies harmony with the natural features and cultural spirits. The design aims to lower down the architectural crowdedness which ensures the building form seamlessly merge with the Dongao Island's skyline. The Ahnluh brand philosophy elevates the hotel beyond traditional hospitality paradigms which provides the resort accommodations to the customers with the realistic and personal experiences. The design aims to invite the customers into an architecture defined by the genuine connections and the reflective spaces.
The Ahnluh Resort Hotel is not just a landmark building on Dongao Island. Its breathtaking architectural design harmoniously blends together with the surrounding natural features which fulfill the ancient legend's quest for a tranquil haven. As a result, the Ahnluh Resort Hotel confidently enters the competition of the Grand Prix Design Paris Award. The nominated project offers not only a memorable accommodation but also a journey that uplifts the spirit and respects the timeless beauty of the locale.
