Design Description As an important node of One Belt One Road Initiative, Ningbo not only has the world's largest port, but two national platforms connecting Central and Eastern Europe. Currently, Ningbo Zhoushan Port is opening container flights with five Central and Eastern European ports, including Piraeus port in Greece, Gdansk port in Poland, Constanta Port in Romania, Koper Port in Slovenia and Rijeka Port in Croatia.
People have given this cooperation a proper name - "Five Seas and Six Ports". Statistics show that in 2020, the container import and export volume of Ningbo Zhoushan Port and five ports in Central and Eastern Europe was nearly 600,000 TEUs, 1.7 times higher than that in 2014, accounting for 14.6% of the total container transportation volume with Europe.
Five blocks are designed to represent the five seas respectively, and the form of waves on the ground implies that the implementation of the project is to bring new vitality to the art trade with Central and Eastern Europe.
Art installations are designed between the "Five Seas" areas, with "hull, anchor, sail, oar, rudder, gantry crane", and decorative elements unique to Central and Eastern Europe are added to represent the "Six Ports" respectively, symbolizing the role of
