DESCRIPTION


As a series of cultural and creative products, the name “Wo Huo Dai” (WOOHOO) created by the brand founder has become a popular internet lingo and a representative of internet language culture. The “surprised and amazed” connotation in WOOHOO implies the product will provide customers with a creative and refreshing experience.
The Chinese character “Dai” shaped products were designed on the basis of the brand cultural connotation, combining the pattern of brand logo, English elements, Chinese characters and slang expressions. It is the embodiment of brand IP, which strengthens the relation between products and the brand logo and promotes users to generate relevant logical associations with the products. The unique visual expression makes WOOHOO become an artwork or a decoration, conforming to the expression logic of young people and catering to young people’s attitude towards life- to be unique and individual. In addition, as a relatively small subculture, “Dai” implies calm and indifferent Zen and the “Still waters run deep” wisdom in Chinese artistic conception. The designer hopes that WOOHOO will become a subculture carrier and an inspiration to design more targeted products with market demand, forming a cultural language to establish direct and flexible connection between different subcultures and to promote and deepen mutual communication.

Xudong Zhang, an independent designer and contemporary artist, is the founder and chairman of the board of directors of Beijing WOOHOO Technology Co., Ltd. He has generated 230 million searches across the web in 2013 and been engaged in graphic design, brand design, product design, IP design, visual installation art, etc. for 22 years.He has won the Gold Awards of MUSE Design Award, A'DESGIN AWARD&COMPETITION, IAI DESGIN AWARD. He is also a leading figure in Chinese restaurant brand design.
Tan Hao, a graduate of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, is the design director of Yenergy Culture. His major works include: China National Offshore Oil Offshore Vessel Cabin Design Standard, Taishan Gypsum 2021-2023 New Product Packaging Design, Beijing Winter Olympic Spirit Exhibition Design Planning.He is also a collaborative designer for the China Academy of Space and Astronautics Lunar Exploration and Mars Project.
