DESCRIPTION

The library of Southwest University for Nationalities, founded in 1951, is one of the earliest libraries of nationalities colleges and universities in China. It is a comprehensive university library containing literature resources of literature, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, teaching, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, art and other disciplines. It includes Wuhou Campus Library, Aeroport Campus Library and Taipingyuan Campus Reading Room, with an area of nearly 50,000 square meters. Among them, the Wuhou Campus is more than 8,000 square meters, the Airport Campus is more than 40,000 square meters, and the Taipingyuan Campus is 500 square meters. It is one of the first batch of key ancient book protection units in Sichuan Province and a member unit of China Association for the Protection of Ancient Books. One of the aerial port campus library was completed in 2007, after 17 years of baptism of time, the area highlighted a variety of problems in the use of this project by the Southwest University of Nationalities School Library invited the aerial port campus library on the first floor of the North Hall and the periphery of the landscape for a comprehensive transformation. This remodeling indoor area of about 1810 square feet, outdoor landscape area of about 500 square feet. The design area involves 11 indoor spaces, including Tonggao Hall, General Service Office, Leisure Area, Coffee Bar, Electronic Reading/Self-service Printing, Literature Exchange Center, Curatorial/Study, VIP Lounge/Multifunctional Seminar, Conference and Exchange Hall, Red Bookstore, and Book Retrieval/Checkout, which can satisfy the space needs of the students and staff of the university, such as reading, relaxation, drinks, training, exhibitions and so on.
