DESCRIPTION

Sayram Lake, located in Xinjiang, China, is known as the "Last Tear of the Atlantic".As a landmark building located in Sayram Lake National Scenery Area, this performing arts center fully shows unique regional characteristics through the symbiosis of art and technology, aiming to provide an immersive cultural experience for global visitors.
The overall project, taking “spaceship travels through stars to land on snowfields” as the core concept, ingeniously integrates the geographical and ecological features of Sayram Lake. The well-chosen eco-friendly materials, including silver-gray matte oxidized aluminum sheets and mirror-polished Low-E glass, are applied to the facade, which not only boast excellent UV resistance (effectively protecting exterior walls and roof from UV-induced damage, especially suitable for high-altitude regions with strong UV radiation) but also feature a unique texture and luster to add a futuristic, high-tech aesthetic. Meanwhile, these materials finely contrast with the surrounding snowy mountains and lakes, highlighting the harmonious coexistence of nature and human culture. The octagonal sloping roof continues the style of the surrounding buildings and makes some innovation, giving a sense of lightness and suspension while ensuring outstanding structural stability.
The project draws inspiration from traditional Mongolian yurts and incorporates modern high-tech elements, to create a distinctive space that strikes a perfect balance between regional characteristics and modern design. It not only offers a comfortable, convenient environment, but also promotes sustainable tourism by minimizing the negative impact on the environment, where visitors can get closer to nature and immerse themselves in the deep fusion of traditional culture and modern technology. This further enhances the great appeal and influence of Sayram Lake as a tourist destination.
