PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

In the dynamic progression of Shengzhou in 2023, a building embodying the city's character and aesthetics stands proudly at the summit of Dao Mountain—Shengzhou Forest Villa. It takes the form of an upscale residential structure, providing Shengzhou with a new symbol of living and an ideal lifestyle.
Built in harmony with the slope, the project offers expansive views, blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings with its open and transparent low-density architecture. The minimalist modern glass structure, when viewed from a distance, appears like a cloud floating above the city. Through the glass, the intertwining of human vision with the lush greenery creates a symbiotic relationship, merging the indoor and outdoor experiences into one, where life knows no boundaries.
The facade combines large areas of glass with metal aluminum panels and coatings to create a streamlined facade with a modern and luxurious feel. The entire building surface presents a pure and glossy appearance akin to a piano mirror, providing a transparent, dynamic, and lightweight aesthetic.
The facade's color palette skillfully balances heaviness and lightness, forming a visual focal point with the intensity of high-grade gray complemented by warm white tones. The overall transition of various shades of gray subtly diminishes the building's weight, highlighting its stability and modernity.
In terms of materials, the use of metal aluminum panels embellished with coated finishes creates a visually stable feeling. Coupled with the transparency of "high transmittance low reflection" glass, the combination of metallic texture and lightweight aluminum adds smoothness and naturalness to the transition between light and heavy elements, enhancing the facade's lightness and agility.
On the facade, the larger the window-to-wall ratio, the higher the texture of the building facade and the comfort of living. Through meticulous consideration of the details and overall design, the project achieves the maximum window-to-wall ratio, increasing the number of interior openings to bring in more light and ventilation. This creates transparent and bright spaces, allowing natural light to flood the interior. The interplay of light, shadow, mountains, and the bustling city reflects a beautiful essence of life.
The presentation of Shengzhou Forest Villa not only reaffirms the aesthetics of residential products but also captivates numerous individuals with its enduring sense of quality and beauty. This timeless aesthetic experience rekindles people's enduring passion for life.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

This is a private house located in the countryside of western China. The owner commissioned us to rebuild it as a way to express her appreciation that she has for growing up in this beautiful hometown. How to express this emotion through architecture? For a long time, most of the rural built dwellings are mainly a place of eating and sleeping, ignoring the relationship with the regional environment and monumentality in architecture. In China, anyone who folds a thousand paper cranes will be granted their most desired wish and love. So we decided to apply the concept of a thousand paper cranes for hometown into architecture design. We tried to deconstruct the folding method of it and reconstruct its concrete form into the language of architectural design step by step, forming our design and realizing the unique demands of the owner. While realizing the commemoration of the building, we also created wonderful home life scene. The feature of this project is to return to nature, through natural landscape and artificial landscape, so that every corner of the interior can have a natural view, intimate dialogue with nature.
First, we arranged the living space along the south side, having the best views of the countryside with French window, responding the relationship between the building and the environment. Secondly, each functional room has a balcony where you can get in touch with nature and breathe the freshest pastoral air. Finally, we made full use of the roof terrace, where the family members sometimes have BBQ, and sometimes lie here to watch the bright stars. Every corner of the building is endowed with unique life memories. The form of the building and the space are revolutionary explorations.
In terms of project construction, architect takes the lead on both the design and construction management phases of the project. The structure of the project is concrete frame structure, which facilitates the shaping of geometric forms. The wonderful geometric shape is made of white stone and light steel keel. Under the mode of architecture-led design build, we have the expertise and knowledge necessary to create a high-quality design and bring our architectural vision to life, which meets the project owner's expectations.
The unique architectural shape and spatial design also subverts people's understanding of traditional Chinese rural houses. There are three major innovations in this project: the concept of rural houses, the method of space design, and the mode of construction management. Through these innovative measures,, we hope to bring more innovation to the unenlightened architectural aesthetics of Chinese villages .We posted the project on Douyin, the largest self-media platform in China. Within three days, the number of views exceeded 700,000, and it aroused a wide discussion.
The project will be very sustainable. As the Chinese government puts forward the national strategy of rural revitalization, more and more Chinese people will returned to the villages to build houses in rural areas in the future, which will present architects with high-quality project opportunities and economic benefits.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

The courtyard landscape design of the villa "Qi Yu (The Book of Songs) strength of character, gathering talents and elegant residence" is located in the backyard of a villa in Chaoyang District, Beijing. The site area is 800㎡, the pattern is square, the north side is close to the river in the park, and the external environment is beautiful and natural. Through modern landscape construction techniques, realize a low-key luxury and creative external courtyard environment, and create a mature men's private villa courtyard space integrating quality, style, comfort and tranquility.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

1. Fully functional villa space
The owner of the villa is an accomplished gentleman. He wants to build an ideal country for himself and his friends: build a garden house through multi person gathering space, free activity space, semi private rest space, waterscape and plant space. It not only meets the daily life and leisure needs of the owner, but also can accommodate many people at once.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

2. Site characteristics of landscape art
The irregular boundary formed by the meandering river controls the Aesthetic Logic of the site. The spatial relationship of landscape geometry gradually makes the whole volume grow slowly from north to south through deduction, collage, reduction and reconstruction. Such geometric language shapes a new geometric relationship of landscape and vivid space. The whole site is permeated and covered with green plants and gravel from high to low. The place where they gather forms an activity space. This evolution establishes a new landscape for the whole site to observe mountains and rivers and evaluate itself.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

3. Design theme of Qi Yu strength of character
The geometric landscape image space needs the spirit of Chinese culture to penetrate the texture and endow the soul. The bide phenomenon that can be seen everywhere in Chinese gardens stems from the emotional and symbolic quality given to landscape in Chinese philosophical allusions.
The Qi Yu chapter in< the book of songs >is a poem praising men's image, talent and morality. Each chapter of the poem starts with "green bamboo", praising the noble demeanor and integrity of a gentleman by virtue of the straightness, green and density of green bamboo, creating a precedent of using bamboo to describe people. It shows that the beauty of a gentleman lies in the acquired accumulation and cultivation of knowledge and sharpening morality.
Qi Yu originally means the place where the water bank of Qi river bends. The north side of the courtyard is connected with the water system of the park. The geographical environment of lush forest and bamboo is very appropriate to the poetry. The owner of the villa is also a modest gentleman with lofty sentiments, brilliant talents and successful career. The theme of Qi Yu complements each other. This gardening technique actually expresses the belief of the garden owner and the pursuit of life ideal, realizes this spirit through natural scenery, and interprets the design theme of Qi Yu character and gathering talents.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

4. Unique landscape expression
We start with the theme narrative space, and the material selection and implementation process is the realization of imagination. The large-scale still water features and tortuous crossing Ting, and the treatment of tree pools in the water make the courtyard more pure. From the black-and-white iterative stone pavement to the staggered growth of the flower border, the materials and artistic techniques are integrated into the natural texture of landscape geometry, so that everything grows naturally, as if it is not carved, but exquisite and attentive, glowing with new brilliance.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

5. Plant culture taking into account the four seasons
The overall plant landscape takes bamboo as the background and "three friends in winter" as the ornament, which is in line with the gentleman's way of standing expressed by the overall landscape. In terms of flowering plants, wax plum, lotus, chrysanthemum and begonia among the "ten friends of flowers" are selected to enrich the plant level, take into account the landscape of the four seasons and integrate the meaning of plant culture. Each flower and leaf is closely linked to the theme of Qi Yu style and gathering talents.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

6. Comfortable and relaxed node space
The new space can make the place glow with new life. The author hopes to create different space places, including self-help barbecue area, lawn reception area, outdoor sofa rest area and tea pavilion, so as to provide rich and diverse comfortable experiences for the guests and owners of the villa.
The host leads the guests up the light steps to the tea pavilion to taste a pot of landscape and sublimate the soul again. Here, the host serves tea for the guests. The tea ceremony thought of "harmony, respect, purity and silence" is integrated with the villa courtyard space of "looking, traveling, traveling and living". Three or five friends watch the shadow of the lake, listen to the singing of leaves and birds, feel the breeze to help the face, taste tea, take a break here, and aftertaste the leisurely scenery all the way.
