PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
This is a 480 square meter stacked villa located in Mentougou, Beijing. It is a half mountain city-state built by China Resources over nine years, with convenient transportation, pleasant scenery, and high quality of life requirements from the owner's family. We have applied architectural thinking to create continuity and hierarchy in the space, forming a good relationship between the interior and exterior spaces and people while meeting the customer's living needs. In addition to the underground two floors (entrance hall, dressing room, nanny room, laundry room), the first floor of the project is the garden entrance floor, which is composed of several parts including the Chinese kitchen, Western kitchen, dining room, and reception hall, including the tea room. The original bathroom has been improperly adjusted and transformed into the Western kitchen and simple dining area, with an open design to increase the sense of space. In addition, the original staircase is relatively cramped and removed to create a storage room. The original tea room has been transformed into the main dining room, which not only increases the sense of space but also effectively introduces lighting into this area. The position of the staircase has also been artistically adjusted to enhance the highlights and attributes of the space, while also satisfying the functionality of the living room space. I hope that the owner can enjoy the wonderful time of drinking tea, sipping tea, and reading while receiving guests and living in the tea room. Here, reading books, chatting, and drinking tea with the owner have added a sense of communication between people, achieving psychological and physiological satisfaction.
The second floor retains the original dining room space for the living area, increasing the continuity of the space, and the lighting in the public area on the second floor continues to extend vertically. I hope to give children an independent private space to read books and sit still, so that children who are about to study abroad and return to China have sufficient living space. In terms of functionality, the senior area has planned the bedroom, wardrobe, bathroom, and we have chosen an introverted and low-key gray tone to ensure the overall comfortable and relaxed atmosphere of the space. At the same time, the geometric headboard background enhances the exquisite sense of the environment, and in the details, different materials are displayed with different levels and language.
The third floor space is the owner's private space, which recombines the previously scattered rooms to form a complete suite. The addition of a study and a wardrobe enhances the quality of living, ensuring the owner's satisfaction. The design of a private school aims to express the life of its residents, while life is a real moment. We do not emphasize the design of a home with specific styles or complex decorations, but focus on the comfort of life from a functional perspective. The clear and beautiful structure of the space awakens a person's perception of happiness.
