DESCRIPTION
Yung Wing School Hengqin is located at the east side of Ziwei Road, the south side of Shengzhou 1st Road, the west side of Hongjing Road, and the north side of Huandao North Road, Hengqin New District, Zhuhai. The project is comprised of 2 plots, which includes the smaller plot with the GFA of 36,134.33 sqm and the larger plot with the GFA of 50,869.62 sqm.
“Let everyone’s life is nourished and achieves its own achievements” is the slogan of the Yung Wing School which has been the exceptional school spirit, characteristics and style of Yung Wing School. The school aims to take its own responsibility of education development, inheriting culture and educating the community to promote the main themes of "harmony, liveliness, grace and elegance" which ideally nourish elite talents in the city. Under the above-mentioned teaching style, the students of Yung Wing School would be stimulated their sprit of life consciousness to treasure their life growth and support life success. It would also help the students to develop their excellent moral character (morality), high-quality academics (education), and excellent mentality (mindset).
The design concept is inspired by the representative musical instruments of Lingnan such as Yangqin, Gaohu, Silk and Bamboo. Extracted from its forms and internal components, the abstract elements are adopted throughout the entire interior space. The features of architectural and landscape design in Lingnan style included pavilions, the sashes of door and window, feature window grill etc.… are wholly used and blended into the interior design. The design aims to inherit the history, but feature with modernity. The natural material is adopted, and extracted materials and colors from the natural environment and Lingnan landscape architecture to the interior space.
