PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

four lines of “Ten Songs for Comely Tonglu” by Fan Zhongyan during conception, which mainly depicts a travelling scene. When travelling in Tonglu, the poet was captivated by the misty Wulong Mountain, the gorgeous scenes of which have sunk everything into oblivion. His moods seem to be one with the white clouds, dashing and ethereal. The poet expressed his delight and easiness by the tenderness and brightness of mountains and clouds. To restore this tenderness and brightness, the design team selected inky steel as the framework of the bus shelter that support the whole product like a standing inkstick, and a large number of glass is utilized to erect the transparent and bright bus shelter. To vitalize it, the design team print images of local landscapes which reduce the monotony of traditional bus shelters and further embody the cultural deposits and aesthetics. On the aspect of culture, this design can serve as an approach for tourists to learn something about Tonglu. On the aspect of function, it is well-lighted and sustainable. Besides, it is an advertisement to showcase the distinctive landscape culture of this most beautiful county in China

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

This product is the new customized gas station designed by Guangzhou ACE Group for Fuhai Group. The design team, based on their brand philosophy of “dare to achieve a breakthrough”, has optimized and recreated the colors and styles of traditional gas stations. This product adopts a color scheme of white base+cyan blue color gradient, which, compared with the ubiquitous monotonous color scheme of traditional counterparts, exudes a visual sense of layer and depth. Its roof employs an ascending double-layered hollowed-out design. The hollowed-out parts, filled with ETFE inflatable foil, are able to prevent rain leakage, let in more sunlight, and save energy. The inclined pillars further ooze a strong sense of design.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

The convenience store continues the design theme and the rounded corner style of the gas station. In contrast to the cyan blue color gradient, the white shelves look more intelligent and futuristic besides their original clean and pure texture. In addition, the white background reflects the daylight and brights the store, saving more energy.

PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

The creation starts with the physical aesthetics of the sea hare, which is fused with the characteristics of waves and sunlight. It taps into the emotional experiential perspective of the canopy’s function by using the 3D parameter mode of a hexagonal body.

Sunlight
Sunlight penetrates the tinted glass to reach the ground. Changing in real time in different periods of a day, it has conveyed the subtle relationship among humans, buildings, colors, and nature.
Ideas
The body shape of the “sea rabbit” with a fluctuating curve reveals bright colors. The curve shapes of the ocean waves bring forth the refraction of light on the sea surface. In the experience of swimming under the sea, one feels like the sunlight shining on the sea surface and shimmering into the sea water. The swimming of fish gives the feeling of diving into the sea. These comprehensive abstract emotions have transformed and hidden in this parameter structure, with each in the crowd feeling a unique experience.
Engineering
It considers both the structural mechanics and the aesthetics, with accurate calculation of the arch mechanic parameters in each node, the wind resistance parameters against typhoons, satisfactoriness against earthquakes, and resistance against risks of acoustic vibrations.

Designer: Yue Fei Zheng

With the parametric design, it explores the perception of human and emotions, the experience of space and walking, and the interpretation of nature and parameters. With refined parametric modal logic, it has reconstructed the reading mode between humans and space.
